MobiLuck is the only free, universal, operator-independent Friend Finder service available worldwide. It's a mobile social network for people who want to share their location and know where their friends are. It can be used for keeping in touch with friends and family, dating, or business networking. MobiLuck is based in Paris, France and after only 8 months it has 190 000 users growing at a rate of 1000 a day. Recently MobiLuck was selected as finalist for the Red herring Europe 100 Top Start up companies.

With MobiLuck, people can share where they are with selected friends whether it's to show off or just to let them know they're available to meet up. They can also easily discover friends, people and places around them, and receive free SMS alerts when friends are nearby.

To make it even more interesting and valuable, MobiLuck can integrate targeted advertising into the user experience based on user profile, action, location or behaviour. Rather than serve up generic adverts at the top or bottom of the page, this form of location based mobile advertising will adapt the search results to include highlighted special offers at nearby places, suggest somewhere to meet a friend, or show a sponsored business location on a map.

The mobile advertising market is projected to grow to $12.6bn by 2011, and a significant share of it will be in the form of location based advertising. As the user base grows and the market matures, increasing demand will drive up prices and better targeting will drive up ROI for advertisers.

MobiLuck is backed by a strong executive board with Laurent Samama (a former Nokia executive), Barend Van Den Brande (Big Bang Ventures), and board advisor Stanislas Chesnais (CEO of Netsize). MobiLuck's CEO is Olivier Chouraki.
