Mapness, a web startup for sharing your travels and a journey planner, comes us from the relation Poland - UK. Three distributed developers have been working on it since August this year, and are close to the Beta phase hoping to switch to open Beta in next week or so.

Paul Graham said many times - find an idea that works, and make it better; Well, these three World travelers (Wojtek, Mike, and Tom) did just that. They took the already existing idea about mapping your travels, and are working on making it better. According to Wojtek, their main advantage will be the larger span of features they offer.

They've been very disciplined writing a blog, in contrary to the fact that many startups are not very eager in keeping it up-to-date. I found this post really amusing:

Virtual company vs headquarters (9)
by Mark Kofman, CEO, SourceKibitzer

I would like to discuss with the community the issue of how start-ups should operate. Whether it is more reasonable to be virtual company with employees working from home. Or is it still more efficient to get together in one physical office every day.
