How many people have heard about it in Italy? Memopal distributes a mini guide explaining the advantages of this tool to help users make the right choice.

One of the most common fears among web users today is that of losing data stored on their computer. The quantity of files produced, 161 exabytes in 2006 (one exabyte is one billion gigabytes) is increasing at an astounding rate: with pictures, music, videos and work documents, generated data is expected to grow to 998 exabytes by 2010 (University of California - Berkeley). How can we protect our digital memory? The answer is Online Backup. It's spreading like wildfire in the USA, but what is it? Online Backup is a system that saves any type of data on a remote server via secure internet connection. Data can be accessed with a password at any time and from any PC.

This tool is still not widely known in Italy and the only player able to keep up with American providers is Memopal - a European startup with an Italian core, which is aimed towards spreading Online Backup culture. For this reason, Memopal has commissioned the creation of a mini guide to explain the importance of this new tool and to help users pick the service that best meets their needs.

Memopal is distributing the mini guide to increase press and user awareness on this somewhat neglected subject, in which Italy plays an important role.
