A few days ago I was reached by a young student and entrepreneur David Haywood Smith from UK (Northumberland, near
Newcastle) in regards to his new startup Wishli.st. I found it to be a fun idea with potential, and decided to write a post on it in order to encourage his and many other ideas that keep coming up from early startups.
Wishli.st enables your friends and relatives to chip in towards the presents that you'd like ("collaborative micropayments"). A little progress bar shows how much money you've collected towards a given item and when the total is reached, the item is ordered for you! As for the upcoming updates, their catalog is constantly expanding as users suggest new items for their Wishli.st-s. They also have plans for many more features that will make Wishli.st even more useful and easy to use. |
